Obama’s last act – on eve of Hanukkah

Reveals his contempt for Israel.

Now, any Jewish person living in the “Jewish Quarter” of Jerusalem is “illegal… and breaking international law.”

Attorney and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz slammed President Obama for “betraying” Israel by allowing a US abstention in a UN security council vote condemning Israeli settlements and preventing Jews from praying at the ‘Western Wall’.

Dershowitz said Obama will be remembered as one of the worst presidents in the foreign policy arena and said he created a “terrible conflict” for people who share other tenets of his ideology.

“Many [liberal Democrats] like me who support his domestic policy think he was an appalling… president when it came to foreign policy,” Dershowitz said.

He said the president once invited him to the White House and asked personally for his support, promising that ” I WILL ALWAYS HAVE ISRAEL’S BACK.”

“I didn’t realize what [Obama] meant is that he would have their back to stab them,” Dershowitz said, “This will make peace much more difficult to achieve because the Palestinians will now say ‘we can get a state through the UN’.”

Dershowitz also criticized Obama for “tying” President-elect Donald Trump’s hands on the issue during his lame duck period, calling the move “nasty” and a “bait and switch.”

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer slammed the United States’ decision to abstain during a United Nations vote condemning settlements in the West Bank, saying the country has “joined the jackals.”

The measure was adopted with 14 votes in favor, to a round of applause, after U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power abstained.
It is the first resolution the Security Council has adopted on Israel and the Palestinians in nearly eight years.

He called the resolution “appalling” and clarified that it meant that any Jewish person living in the “Jewish Quarter” of Jerusalem is “illegal… and breaking international law.”

The resolution is explicit in including both Israeli-occupied territories and east Jerusalem, he said.

Mike criticized the Obama administration for the United States’ abstention during a United Nations vote condemning Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank.

“This is about evil and good,” Huckabee said, “I am in a seething rage over what this administration has done in its last days… have some common decency.”

Huckabee called US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power’s abstention during an otherwise unanimous vote condemning Israel “cowardly” and said that her silence was effectively an agreement with the motion.

“It basically says to Israel, ‘you don’t deserve to be a nation that has secure borders’,” Huckabee said.

The former presidential candidate said the term ‘settlements’, used by the UN, is a misnomer, as the Israelis are building neighborhoods in land “given to them by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” four thousand years ago. He called the “two-state solution” plan feckless and dangerous, and said the United Nations has become a “laughingstock.”

“As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th.”

So be it.
