“I want to challenge every Kenyan to go to the cemetery and disappoint the graveyard. Die like the Apostle Paul who said I have finished my course, I have kept the faith and I have been poured out like a drink offering. There is nothing left. I am ready to die. That’s how I wanna die because there is nothing else for me left to die.”
“You weren’t born just to live a life and to die, you were born to accomplish something specifically,” he said. “Matter of fact, success is making it to the end of your purpose, that is success. … Success is not just existing, success is making it to the end of why you were born.”
He also discussed the human lifespan and making the most of one’s life.
“The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live. And most people are concerned about growing old rather than being effective,” he said in 2003. “The people who have impacted the world didn’t live long. Martin Luther King. John F. Kennedy. These people who impact the world were not old people, but they lived so effectively that we cannot erase them from history.”
BRILLIANT till the end…and even then, being dead he yet is still speaking!

  1. The dream he had about training up the young, passing the baton … not dying as a young person w/out the baton being passed because we don’t want to let go, is significant ! Where are they?

  2. Dr Myles was an exceptional man who knew and understood the kingdom perspective very well.
And I believe that he has impacted many lives accross the world.
I am in Christ For The Nations and learning more about the Kingdom perspective and how to influence culture and society.
    Thank you Lance for sharing.

  3. Dr. Monroe knew how to translate the principles of The Kingdom to a generation of people who were hungry for it. He saw The Kingdom and began to accentuate it in his own life and the life of others. He had a positive impact on most anyone who was alert and ready for Kingdom talk and walk. He defined and understood Christ’s Kingship and rule as The Sovereign authority. Dr. Monroe wasn’t interested in religious exercise for the sake of it…he was too busy running his race for Kingdom business and dominion potential to be actualized. I liked him, he inspired us every time he articulated The Kingdom. That was his annointing in our opinion, to preach the good news of The Kingdom in all the earth. It’s ours, it’s yours, it’s every Christian’s preach it and then the end will come.

  4. Amen and Amen again. There are no adequate words for the life of Dr. Myles Munroe. He was absolutely awesome. Thanks Lance for such an insightful tribute to a life well-lived. We truly loved you Dr. Munroe. Many blessings of comfort to your family during this time.

  5. Dr. Myles Munroe lived a full life and imparted many generations to come. Honestly, if the only message he ever preached was the one on purpose, he completed his assignment. Such a passionate, consummate and brilliant teacher of the Word! The church has surely lost a gem.

  6. Thank you Lance for honoring Dr. Munroe. Like many other Kingdom Citizens, it is through Myles Munroe I first learned about the Gospel of the Kingdom; Destiny; Purpose and Passion; and Vision. I know this path also led me to you, Dr. Wallnau and the Seven Mountain Mandate. I’m sorry for your loss of a friend and mentor. Dr. Munroe’s influence and impact will carry on through you, As One.

  7. I met Dr.Myles Munroe for the very first time in 2000 and the impact I received during the one week seminar changed my life, fired a new understanding of vision and purpose. Set me on the true path of real success, empowered me with fresh grace and the confidence to pursue my purpose on planet earth. I have become more focused and purpose full that only death can separate.
Dr. Munroe, you have truly raised sons and daughters for the kingdom, we will continue the legacy you left with us till we meet and part no more. Rest in peace with others.
