Myles Munroe in one of his last media interviews said…
“I want to challenge every Kenyan to go to the cemetery and disappoint the graveyard. Die like the Apostle Paul who said I have finished my course, I have kept the faith and I have been poured out like a drink offering. There is nothing left. I am ready to die. That’s how I wanna die because there is nothing else for me left to die.”
“You weren’t born just to live a life and to die, you were born to accomplish something specifically,” he said. “Matter of fact, success is making it to the end of your purpose, that is success. … Success is not just existing, success is making it to the end of why you were born.”
He also discussed the human lifespan and making the most of one’s life.
“The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live. And most people are concerned about growing old rather than being effective,” he said in 2003. “The people who have impacted the world didn’t live long. Martin Luther King. John F. Kennedy. These people who impact the world were not old people, but they lived so effectively that we cannot erase them from history.”
BRILLIANT till the end…and even then, being dead he yet is still speaking!

This is a beautiful memoriam Lance. He truly was the Father of the “Kingdom as a Government” movement! He is the first teacher I heard speak about the Kingdom in such a way that it opened my eyes to a higher reality. Thank You Dr. Myles Munroe for your spirit and dedication to your destiny. And Thank You Dr. Wallnau for this tribute.

Thanks for posting this Lance. Dr. Munroe was a hero to me, his biblical insight changed my life every time I heard him teach or read his books. And still does. His dynamic impact will live on. I just watched one of his teachings about singleness I had not seen before, again, it literally changed my life. I’m so grateful the earth had him for the time it did!!
Wow! He was such an awesome teacher. I love his definition of success! Thank you for sharing this and giving a Kingdom perspective!
Perhaps I’m the contrarian in the group, but I’d have to say it’s proof positive of the power of our words.
If you mean?? by describing yourself as contrary, that Dr. Monroe, his wife and some 7 other passengers aboard that plane… died fairly early for his age and theirs, because Dr. Monroe “spoke” what he believed (“The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live. And most people are concerned about growing old rather than being effective…”) and what he spoke came to fruition, then I’d say to you 2 things, 1) it was most probably the huge misplaced crane that got in the planes way, that killed off several of Christ’s people in a horrible accident and number 2) If that’s what you mean that’s not Kingdom thinking, but is stinking thinking.
Well put. A man/woman are not measured by how long they live but by what they contributed to humanity! This was a religious response.
YOU SAID IT.
I refuse to accept that it was God’s will for him to go in such a horrible way. It was a satanic attack, plain & simple. I’m convinced the dream he had (about the athlete in the coffin) was a warning dream, & the attack should have been stopped. We have been robbed.
Dr Myles Munroe has joined the cloud of witnesses. Brilliant till the end.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose hear.” Hebrew 12: 1-3
Lance, I only began listening to you recently but you guys are so alike because it’s the same Holy Spirit speaking through you and all he is interested in is “The Kingdoms of this world becoming the Kingdoms of our God and his Christ”.
I am so grateful for servants like Myles. His legacy leaves on.
Thank you for posting this. I am pleased he went home probably settled in the knowledge that it wasn’t too early or late.
Thanks Dr. Lance,
For sharing. He was a General and left a legacy that is Rich for the body of Christ.
I have prayed for a thousand-fold increase in the seeds that Dr. Monroe has planted in the body of Christ, in homes, in businesses, in families and churches, etc. on planet earth…. all to the glory of God and the advancement of the Kingdom of God on earth, as it is in heaven! Let’s be in agreement, as Dr. Myles Monroe, et al have entered their rest into the joy of the Lord. Amen.
