When God acts in your life, He is building on the past with a view toward your future. When God called Abraham He introduced HIMSELF (Genesis 12).
When God called ISAAC, He reminded him of His relationship with ISAAC’S FATHER Abraham (Genesis 26:24).
To JACOB He identified Himself as the God of Abraham and Isaac (Genesis 28:13).
Moses was then introduced to the God of ABRAHAM, ISAAC and JACOB (Exodus 3:6-10).
At each new step God established the continuity of His plan and provided a perspective on what was happening. God wanted to INVOLVE EACH man in His activity in their generation.
Likewise, God wants to involve you in His purposes. He has been working prior to your birth and since your birth. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…†(Jeremiah 1:5).
Any new step in your life will be in keeping with the pattern of what He has already been doing. He is inviting you into a GREAT STORY that began before you even showed up.
How about that for good news?
