  1. You are such a tease Lance! Leaving us hungry for more.

I love the way you present truth. It is so “non-religious”. It is easy for people whose world is the organized church to begin speaking only “God words” and sometimes (maybe even most of the time), it makes communication very difficult. Thank you for your funny, concise, and clear messages.

  2. Yes it makes sense. I have had many creative and inventive ideas that I have done exactly that with, even asking ministry leaders if they thought God would approve of my aspirations because they didn’t seem spiritual enough. Some of those ideas would make life more convenient and provide needed services for others, but even the idea of possibly making a profit seemed less than noble. The filter is also clear, it includes a perspective and a language that creates a divide between the people sent to love the world and those that love was intended to reach, a love which comes in many forms.

  3. Think of all the blessing that the church has NOT given to the world, because we haven’t seen our work as being “holy” enough!

  4. This is good stuff, Lance. God is shaking everything in us. Your teachings are helping get stuff sifted out of my soul. I am seeking God as to what needs to go, stay or just get some holy fire on it!

  5. Not only do I completely agree with you, but I believe you’re right!
Can’t wait to hear about how this will turn out. I’m sure it will be at least amazing.

  6. This was definitely helpful for me.I can’t get enough of your teaching. It has helped me immensely. I share your teachings with everyone else who is hungry to know what it is we are supposed to do in these days.

  7. This is helpful I want to somehow see the whole thing though. I was talking with a friend of mine about some material I was taught in SF class this past year at MSU. It was about emotional intelligence and about different types of personalities. My friend seems to shun psychology and studies and personality tests, believing that things like that are of the world and have no value or Godly wisdom and that only by the Spirit of God can you discern or have true wisdom or know another person. I never fully agreed with him and some of what you said helps me frame the reason why.

  8. I am so glad you’re not restrained from blasting through all the religious confinement we absorbed! Ears to hear TRUTH from all sources and weeding out what doesn’t resonate as truth. We did live and judge with filters! And, we forfeited so much in doing so! I’m with you!

  9. Now I you are getting at root issues that I have been disturbed by for some time. I was not raised in the “church”. This ought not to remain so confusing for new believers! All the division. The working power of God is in the joints, as they move and work together, not the separate parts themselves. We are the Body of Christ which lately, I refer to as non-Muslim! Now we extrapolate what Kris V. is preaching about Christians vs. Believers and the “church” has been a mess! We ARE growing into unity and maturity. Thanks Lance, I’m enjoying your posts.

  10. It’s seem the church has become it’s own hindrance.
Maybe we need to take another look at Luke 6:42 –
Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, allow me to take out the speck that is in your eye, when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? You actor (pretender, hypocrite)! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
From my experience, it seems the movers and
shakers in the local churches are the ones in
the quiet background because they don’t want the
good work the Lord has given them to be corrupted
by the stereotypical phantom Christian church.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
P.S. I hate your blog (In a good way) cause I
always start burning with hunger on the inside
and can’t seem to find a way to satisfy the hunger.

  11. What the church was called to do, was to Arise and Shine, go into all the world, and hear the voice of Spirit, and bring attention to Him! You can’t do that if your isolated and afraid to be tainted, no, Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world! The greater works displayed when we out shine the worlds process! Bringing attention to the Greater One within us!
