Lance's- OUTRAGE OF THE WEEK!
You guys have to educate me on something. I was shocked tonight as I ran across a story, buried strangely beneath other ho-hum news items. Here it is:
“5 Rabbis Slaughtered in Jerusalem Synagogue while saying prayers – 3 of the 5 were American Rabbis!”
WHAT? A shocking news item upstaged by Ferguson unrest and the Keystone Pipeline vote.
I kept reading…
The worshipers were attacked by two Palestinian Muslims shouting “this is a religious war!” Wielding knives, hatchets and guns they killed the Rabbis and began shooting and mutilating worshipers till gunned down.
Last night I wrote “take heed ‘what' you hear.” So get this, I went into my hotel room in Charlotte N.C. and after meeting with Rick Joyner and friends I was unpacking in my room and BBC NEWS came on.
Eventually they got to the story…
“Israel is still reeling after five men were killed by two Palestinian assailants.”
REALLY??? Five “men” or five “rabbis”? Killed by Palestinians (implying a political conflict) or Palestinian Muslims (implying a religious conflict…especially probable since they were yelling “this is a religious war” as they murdered the worshipers – in their Synagogue.)
So here are the facts:
* 3 were American Rabbis,
* 1 was a British-born Rabbi named Avraham Shmuel Goldberg who had FIVE ——– daughters and ONE son.
* 1 Rabbi was Israeli I think.
All told these 5 praying clerics had 22 children and grand children.
So, so tragic and flat out demonic.
But – MY OUTRAGE isn’t the Muslim killing of innocents, sorry to say I am almost numb to that because of its regularity.
My outrage and question to you is this – WHY DOES the “BBC NEWS” COVER UP the fact that 5 RABBIS WERE KILLED DURING PRAYER IN A SYNAGOGUE?
Are they:
1.) AFRAID of stirring up violence at home?
Or
2.) Is BBC News run by some anti-Jewish/anti-Israel owner? Is that Rupert Murdoch?
Why does the BBC News do this? In fact, now that I am looking, I am AMAZED that SO MANY OTHER news outlets do this as well. They mute the atrocities and illogic of Islamic violence and rationalize it by making it all sound like Israel or the US is partly at fault.
Taking heed to “what” I hear – i think I've met my quota for yucky toxic news for the day. Time to build my faith up…so…
I am taking heed “how” I hear it by processing it with you. I'm seeing the manipulation of media truth as an End Time trend. I am sharpening my ear to hear “what” they say and “how” they DON'T say it. And I am wondering how Jesus would deal with this if he were Prime Minister of Israel or Mayor of Jerusalem.
Why not just state the truth?
It’s the OUTRAGE of the week.

It was a horrific ordeal, for the victims as well as the families that will take a lifetime to get over this violence towards their fathers, grandfathers alike. My anger is the US response to the incident almost four hours after Canada, and Turkey condemned the attacks. The Us response sounded like they almost deserved it by saying that they should not be messing with the Temple Mount; in other words it sounds like they were saying you brought it on yourselves. I pray that people can see clearly and take the blinders off, that all Israel wants is to live in Peace.
It is a religious war. Think of when the Jews try to build the third temple, which is what observant Jews want. Won’t these attacks increase?
Lance, this horrible act was reported on the news I saw, including the mainstream news. It was reported that the men were rabbis and that some were from America. Graphic, poignant images of the blood in the synagogue were on the screen. Most poignant for me were the images of a blood soaked holy book. What a shame if it was not reported in a similar way on the BBC.
My deepest sympathies to the people of Israel and the loved ones of the martyred lost.
Couldn’t agree with you more, Mr. Lance. You are spot on! God help us to hear with His help.
BBC, like every other mainstream news outlet, have for years been steeped in political correctness, and left-wing ideology. The thinking in this matter basically assumes that many of us our bigoted against Muslims (Islamophobic), that we will be incited if we hear the truth, and besides the “truth” to them is that real Muslims never do this, or if they do, then they only do it because they are victims with no other means to fight back for justice against powerful oppressors.
So yes to both of your questions. They don’t want to stir up bigots out there to violence. And two, they think the real truth is that these young men were oppressed by Israel. So yes, they are effectively anti-Israel.
Greetings Lance,
I’m an avid reader of your posts, much appreciated.
You ask what Jesus would do if He was prime minister? Well with regard to the conflict between the Jews and Arabs in the middle east, He already had said something to Joshua during the Exodus, when asked which side He is on, He said “neither” as acommander in chief of the armies of God.
I’m weary of the biaseness of some Christians when it comes to the conflict in Israel, most Jews and Arabs do not believe in Christ as a Son of God, by definition they reject God. Therefore God is no longer in the Synagogue nor was He ever in the Mosque.
With regard to the synagogue corwadly murders, as ussual Israel will unleash a dispropotionate response as recently happened in the Gaza strip, innocent men, women and children killed and left homeless, Hamas fires rockets again and so the conflict shall continue until the end of time.
As Christians we are commanded to pray for peace in Israel. We should support peace initiatives and preach Christ to both Jews and Arabs, because generally neither of them are for Christ.
That’s my opinion.
Thanks.
There is nothing “disproportionate” about the Jewish people defending themselves against the continuous, unprovoked onslaught of missiles that have rained upon them for years. There is nothing “disproportionate” about the Jewish government exercising their God-given right and duty to take up the sword to defend themselves and their people against an enemy that has nothing but enmity for God and God’s Chosen People, the Jewish people. And, yes, God is absolutely in the synagogues as well as the mosques. And, yes, we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but it is the peace of the Prince of Peace. It is not the “peace” outlined by anti-Semites who hide behind the mask of Christianity to express feigned outraged when God’s people defend themselves against the brutality and unspeakable atrocities that have been unleashed upon them by a sect of people who call evil good and good evil.
What a tragic season for the families and friends of these innocent Rabbis who were brutally slaughtered. I agree with Lance. This critical news was definitely pushed under the rug. Sadly, there seems to be an ever-increasing numbness to the plight of the Jewish people, especially in the media. It’s time for those who are called to the Media Mountain to start climbing. We need more Kingdom-advancing journalists and reporters. If God is calling you to the Media Mountain, rise up and take your place! You are needed!
Excellent word Lisa!!
For while i would read the NYT, one of the best ‘written’ news papers in the world, also one of the most subtle at times. They were always burying their message in article. Unlike the classic newsprint article, which has a beginning middle and an end, is terse and to the point, or at least short, the NYT articles have some depth to them. Many magazines don’t even have the space for the way the NYT is written. i never read very many of the articles, but it was always interesting to really understand what they were saying, because they were written so well.
“For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.” Luke 16:8 niv
Yes totally Brad, i think it is time we put our thinking hats on, things just don’t happen because you wish it to be true. Things happen because you persistently do something about it.
our muslim president refuses to hold his fellow muslims accountable for their horrific acts of terror. God help him when he is judged.
Today our president will insult us, the voting public, again on immigration.. His response to this disgusting event n Israel was outrageous at best. A total political response with no substance and no support against the evil that that this event represents I tent to agree with Nathan except it is not history repeating it self It is God in His infinite love repeating Himself tiring to get our attention before the obvious judgement falls. No need to comment father for those who have ears to hear. With repentance ,transformation and the resulting much needed holiness that follows God, who is a Spirit, will get into the situation sovereignly.
