Impeachment, John Bolton's Book, And His Cash Grab Gone Wrong!

BOLTON! BOLTON! BOLTON!

The entire impeachment hearing is spinning on the head of this one witness. His salacious tidbits are being daily leaked by the National Security Council (NSC) to the New York Times! (Ironic that Trump critic Lt. Col. Vindman has a twin brother at NSC, in charge of reviewing the Bolton Book that leaked to media.) Can’t make this stuff up.
What’s the deal with Bolton? The Democrats are pulling their hair out because if they delayed a week more, all the Bolton leaks would have come out on the front end instead of the back end of their argument. Mitch plans on closing the door. Fast.

In truth, Dershowitz made the right argument that the President's use of “quid pro quo” (Latin for: this for that) is not an impeachable offense, especially if dealing with matters of corruption. But, that wasn’t the track the White House legal defense chose. This leaves the Senate Republicans looking like they don’t want to hear Bolton when in fact, the better argument is, his allegations are irrelevant.

Now… what happened to John Bolton? He was a strong, competent conservative warrior with a clear view of America’s place in a dangerous world. When Trump made John Bolton an advisor, we thought him, Mike Pompeo, and the President would make a strong team. An ideal team from a psychological point of view if you are trying to send a warning message to North Korea or Iran. The message? Trump looks like he’s surrounded by hawks. It turned out that John didn’t know how to give advice and leave it with that. Bolton did not see his role as advisory; he saw it as a win/lose competition. If I’m mistaken, I welcome any of my friends in D.C. to tell me otherwise.

From a temperament perspective, Bolton is a challenger, whose belligerence in private meetings put Trump on perpetual defense. The role of advising deteriorated into the role of debating. The meetings ceased to be collaborative and became confrontational. He forgot that his role was to advise and not direct. This will never work with Trump. The inevitable happened – he was asked to leave.

The result? A proud, competent, opinionated advisor became a bitter enemy, a belligerent with a bruised ego. How bruised? Offended enough to be vindictive to the point of exploiting his party’s vulnerability and the nation's psychic anxiety so that he could profit from a book sale.

Trump's enemies see the opportunity of a lifetime. They are seizing on this moment to exploit the division and turn Bolton against Trump on a national stage. This would be the Dr. Blaise Ford vs. Kavanaugh moment to pressure vulnerable Trump Senators to flip and, if possible, rid themselves of Trump's second term.

This won’t go away. The controversy will get more intense as Bolton's document leaks and leaks. Even after impeachment, this manuscript will be an embarrassment as world leaders read Trump's private assessments of them. It will be a weapon used to help Democrats defeat him. Bolton evidently, could care less. He gets his money.

Can anyone fault this President with not trusting anyone? Isn’t that what his enemies said needed to change? He needed to open up to experts and not fly alone?

Bolton is a cautionary tale from the swamp. This is what leviathan does to twist thinking, what lust does to get money and pride does to enact revenge.

Sad to say, while this makes Bolton a hero to the swamp he swims in, it also justifies why this video has to go public…

This is America’s Judas moment. Anyone who is mismotivated, regardless of their political colours, will be exposed, because God looks at the heart of man, not his political affiliations. Trump is naturally setting a certain standard through his actions but more importantly by what motivates him. That is why he is at loggerheads with so many people. He is genuinely working for the best interests of America and his fellow man.
Largely he is driven by a ‘common sense’ born out of his Judeo-Christian ancestry, which most of us in the West have. Only those fighting against that belief system, or who have compromised themselves as Judas did, are struggling with this man.
Politicians are often mismotivated or they become that way, pursuing self-interest, power, wealth, and an over-inflated sense of self-importance. So now they find themselves diametrically opposed to God, and what the President is trying to achieve.
People for the most part, wittingly or unwittingly worship mammon, even Christians. It’s called ‘the American Dream’, but this is not God’s Dream for America.
“For what does it profit a man if gains the whole world but forfeits his soul”. “Man does not live by bread alone…”
“It’s easier for a camel to go through the eye…”
Fallen man is basically selfish, centred on himself. Even wanting to be saved can be a selfish thing, until you learn to live for the sake of others emulating Jesus and the example he set:
John 13:12 “When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them”.
“No greater love has a man than to lay down his life for a friend”. (and an enemy)
This is judgment day for America and Christians. “What have you been doing whilst I was away”. As Paul said:
Philippians 2:12 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure”.
Do we have a ‘Lord of the Flies’ moment going on here because the parents are away. What have you been doing in Jesus’ absence.
Lk 12:49 “I came to cast fire upon the earth; and would that it were already kindled”!
If we are not living for the sake of others, regardless of what we believe or who we follow, we will have nothing to do with God or Jesus. The essence of God is love. Love naturally lives for the sake of others, as parents their children, husband and wife, siblings, friends. Who wants to be in a relationship where one person is always taking and not giving. Well that is the world that Satan established. A world centred on him and his false word, which humanity bought into.
Mt 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
God is not interested in miracles and signs and wonders. Jesus had said:
Mt 16:4 “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah. So he left them and departed”
The sign of Jonah was for the people to repent as in Nineveh. What did John and Jesus both proclaim, “Repent the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand”.
God is only interested in true love and the practice of true love, as a mother nursing her baby and a father spending time with his children, not the pursuit of mammon and being constantly in need of being awe struck. God’s Creation is a miracle, you and I are a miracle.
What did Jesus say? ‘All the prophets and the law hang on these two commandments, love God, love your neighbour’.
That’s it, that is what we need to understand most of all, and whilst we are on earth, I would say the most important of the two is to love your neighbour, because how can we claim to love God if we don’t love what God loves, namely all His children.
We are happy to declare our love for God and Jesus, yet walk by our fellow man as in the story of the good Samaritan. Jesus practised loving his fellow man and shared about the importance of that, without neglecting to love God. Why could he love his fellow man? He experienced God’s love and knew God’s heart towards his fallen children. As Jesus was one in heart with God, do you think he could ignore God’s children, his fellow man? Everything he did was for us, but he led by an example that we should all follow.
Donald Trump is doing that, that is why he is hated, because Jesus was also hated:
Mt 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you”.
Just as the Jewish leaders of Jesus day could not recognise who Jesus was, so today people are not recognising who Donald Trump is, not that he is the Messiah, but because they are unable to recognise his heart and motivation, because their own is more selfish than his, and they can’t believe that someone else could be motivated by goodness unless his name is Jesus. That’s judgment on us.
We can not live with such narrow thinking, because then we will create a very small world for ourselves, and in the meantime evil will takeover, and come to dominate that small piece of ‘ice float’ we are clinging to.
The left hand thief railed at Jesus, “You are the Messiah, save me”! Conversely the right hand thief was contrite and said, “This man has done no wrong”, his heart was to support and comfort Jesus, and he found himself in Paradise with Jesus. Essentially he was Jesus’ first disciple, at least in the afterlife. No one else had died who believed in Jesus in their earthly life especially whilst facing death. The ‘left hand thief’ and ‘right hand thief’ are the origin of the the ‘left wing’ and ‘right wing’ in today’s politics.
When John sent disciples to Jesus to ask him if he is the one or should we prepare for another, Jesus shared a list of things he had done. Mt 11.
Similarly President Trump also has a list of things he has done for the benefit of Americans and the world. When people were talking about President Trump being awarded a Nobel Peace prize, he said he just wants victory for the world, mirroring the sentiment of John 3:16 “For God so loved the world…”
Christians must get on board and support this unique man, Donald Trump. Don’t have regret and end up wailing and gnashing your teeth when the left hand thief comes for you, filled with resentment and rage because you did not know the time of your visitation.
Satan invaded America through the socialists’ “long march through the institutions” that Lance refers to in his Seven Mountains treatise. Christianity allowed Satan to invade America, the nation God raised up to be His champion to accomplish His Will. The early Christian Pilgrims’ and Founding Fathers’ sacrifice has been betrayed by a Judas nation seeking mammon and not God’s Kingdom.
That is why history will judge America, unless she repents, unites with President Trump, and seeks first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness.

I read this quote from Supreme Court Judge, Clarence Thomas, a couple of days ago and immediately thought of Donald Trump and his enemies. Their hatred of him is so obvious!
‘ Anger and hate are just other forms of slavery. Other people are controlling you.’
This is why, isn’t it, we are told to forgive! Otherwise we are the ones who end up slaves!

    1. Wow! Absolutely wonderful writing; truth as truth spoken. I loved hearing what
Stephen Downward says: January 31, 2020 at 4:25 pm. Everyone needs to read this article and more need to write truth about our President Donald Trump. We are all praying for him, declaring what the prophets say about him doing anther term, etc. It’s all about God, His plan for the earth and the Body of Christ.
Thank you so much Stephen for writing this article. You are an excellent writer of truth.
