There is a science to charisma, charm or chemistry.
When it comes to getting along with people, we all “click' or “cluck” based on certain variables.
The big secret is to speak and act in a manner that sets the other person at ease.
Obviously this implies that with a direct style of person you will come off as a “straight shooter.” With a cautious or reflective style you come off as intelligent. The seeker of harmony see's you as a unifying force and the fun loving frat house pal see's you as the life of the party.
Its not easy being all things to all people, but the astute people reader will make their job easier if they understand something about the dominant four personality styles I am loosely characterizing.
Rapport with a crowd? Now there is a science in itself.
The big secret is “likability” …and that is quickly established through humor. Laughter is a universal fast track to likability. The problem is this hardly explains Hitlers popularity, so there are other factors such as a leadership style that matches the audience culture. Hitler matched the frustrated state of the German masses in a post WWII Great Depression Germany. FDR and Churchill matched their nations preferred leadership style.
Notice it always comes down to RAPPORT people always prefer others reflecting themselves.
