Like most of you I have been so occupied with life and so careful to steer clear of political strife (oh so spiritual are we not?) that I missed the big government show down and shut down.
When someone forwarded an article on Fox News that referenced me I pulled my holy head out of the hole in the ground where I was focused and started getting some facts.
Here they are…..(Spoiler Alert- this is unintentionally gonna sound political. Not intended to be that way.)
I always get “unlikes” when I risk taking on the right or left, but here goes!
As my NY friend Dave Yarnes says, “Just sayin….”
FIRST – Responding to pressure from their constituents who are now discovering the impact of the new health care laws….House Republicans voted to fund all of government — except Obamacare.
President and Senate Democrats refused to pass it. I understand.
SECOND – Republicans voted to fully fund the government, but merely delay the implementation of Obamacare for one year.
President and Senate Democrats refused to pass it. Again I understand.
THIRD – Republicans voted to fully fund the government, but added a requirement that EVERYONE live under Obamacare. No more special waivers FOR CONGRESS and their staff, and no waivers for BIG BUSINESS without the same waivers for individuals.
President Obama and Senate Democrats refused to pass it. I no longer understand.
This third option makes me wonder why Republicans are viewed as the big holdup here?
Don't you think that the Politicians should be subject to the health care laws they are mandating we submit to? Why isn't there more fire on this subject?
On behalf of my Democrats and Republicans friends I say, “give unto your neighbor the same healthcare laws that you would have them give unto you.”
