Lance's- OUTRAGE OF THE WEEK!
You guys have to educate me on something. I was shocked tonight as I ran across a story, buried strangely beneath other ho-hum news items. Here it is:
“5 Rabbis Slaughtered in Jerusalem Synagogue while saying prayers – 3 of the 5 were American Rabbis!”
WHAT? A shocking news item upstaged by Ferguson unrest and the Keystone Pipeline vote.
I kept reading…
The worshipers were attacked by two Palestinian Muslims shouting “this is a religious war!” Wielding knives, hatchets and guns they killed the Rabbis and began shooting and mutilating worshipers till gunned down.
Last night I wrote “take heed ‘what' you hear.” So get this, I went into my hotel room in Charlotte N.C. and after meeting with Rick Joyner and friends I was unpacking in my room and BBC NEWS came on.
Eventually they got to the story…
“Israel is still reeling after five men were killed by two Palestinian assailants.”
REALLY??? Five “men” or five “rabbis”? Killed by Palestinians (implying a political conflict) or Palestinian Muslims (implying a religious conflict…especially probable since they were yelling “this is a religious war” as they murdered the worshipers – in their Synagogue.)
So here are the facts:
* 3 were American Rabbis,
* 1 was a British-born Rabbi named Avraham Shmuel Goldberg who had FIVE ——– daughters and ONE son.
* 1 Rabbi was Israeli I think.
All told these 5 praying clerics had 22 children and grand children.
So, so tragic and flat out demonic.
But – MY OUTRAGE isn’t the Muslim killing of innocents, sorry to say I am almost numb to that because of its regularity.
My outrage and question to you is this – WHY DOES the “BBC NEWS” COVER UP the fact that 5 RABBIS WERE KILLED DURING PRAYER IN A SYNAGOGUE?
Are they:
1.) AFRAID of stirring up violence at home?
Or
2.) Is BBC News run by some anti-Jewish/anti-Israel owner? Is that Rupert Murdoch?
Why does the BBC News do this? In fact, now that I am looking, I am AMAZED that SO MANY OTHER news outlets do this as well. They mute the atrocities and illogic of Islamic violence and rationalize it by making it all sound like Israel or the US is partly at fault.
Taking heed to “what” I hear – i think I've met my quota for yucky toxic news for the day. Time to build my faith up…so…
I am taking heed “how” I hear it by processing it with you. I'm seeing the manipulation of media truth as an End Time trend. I am sharpening my ear to hear “what” they say and “how” they DON'T say it. And I am wondering how Jesus would deal with this if he were Prime Minister of Israel or Mayor of Jerusalem.
Why not just state the truth?

As believers we can stand in the gap.
The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God……It has two sides……declaration and praying in the Spirit ….
knowing that we overcome by the Blood of The Lamb (Yashua ) & the Word of our Testimony.
Where sin abounds….grace much more abounds.
I pray Holy Spirit overshadows the families of the slain Rabbi’s with everlasting love,mercy & peace. And I also decree today Grace, Shalom , & Miracles will prevail over Jerusalem! (Job 22:28)
This week, in our prayer meetings one of our intercessor/prophets prayed “Wakie Wakie!” It is time to wake up, America. It is time to wake up, church. It is time to wake up, world. Wake up. Look around. See clearly. Arise and make right assessments.
Seriously though – CNN had to issue an apology for misrepresenting the story. Our media (and BBC too) is a propaganda spinning machine.
I love free speech — but does that cover free lies??
I wonder how our Founding Fathers would feel about that? Wouldn’t be nice if news organizations could be sited for lies, inaccuracies, and unprofessionalism — and at the end of the year report cards were given out. Enough bad marks maybe the FCC would have to think about giving those airwaves to someone more deserving.
Sadly .. too many believers are not aware. Many have believed the lie that the media sets forth – the lie that both Israel and Palestinians or Islamic Terrorists are simply squabbling, and that it is a simply regional and territorial conflict. It is the lie of moral equivalence.
Lance – you are right to observe that the Rabbi’s were praying. So where is there moral equivalence? During the last round of Palestinian’s lobbing bombs into Israel – what was Israel’s response? RESTRAINT! Why? To insure that innocents were not harmed – even as Hamas placed their rocket launchers in schools, hospitals, and synagogues … they should be tried for war crimes.
So what was our own President’s and state department’s response to the murders this week? Again – just another conflict where he demanded restraint on both sides. This is an administration that has fooled everyone. And I am afraid – believers.
Prayer houses are good … but in the end, I am afraid that prayer without action will not produce the results that we need. Saint Augustine is right – “Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.” We need to call on our representatives to act on our behalf – not just on behalf of Islam. We need to study the issues – and vote. And we need to be clear who is on the right side of justice and mercy. And it isn’t the progressive left. Theirs is the playground of moral equivalency – and their forum is the media – which in the end buries the stories that should get front page attention.
First of all, I read recently from sources of integrity that the BBC is now owned by an Arab group, don’t remember who. I wondered why I was seeing so many Arabs telling news on BBC. That is why. So, surprise, they are not telling the truth about their compatriots. Also, if you really want to know the truth about what is happening in Israel, I suggest you subscribe to JNN, Jerusalem News Network, Barry and Batya Segal. They live and minister in Israel. And they report a lot of things you won’t hear in any network news. I disseminate a lot of their posts on Facebook.
Thank you for publishing this. This is a horrific, heart-wrenching situation and my deepest sympathies to all who are in suffering. I am a grief and life losses coach and I know this is the worst kind of experiences. I am so very very sorry for each one, especially the trauma of the 12 year old who hid and crawled out the door after they attacked his father. A few years ago I subscribed to direct Israel news since the world silences and abuses her voice. I did read this earlier today and thank you, my friend, for using your platform to defend the orphans and widows today, bless you.
The other day, I wondered the same thing ‘why do they not tell the truth?!’ and I thought who are these people who control this flow? A word came to mind – gatekeepers. Gatekeepers? Isn’t there a verse that says something about ‘the gates of hell’ and that the gates ‘shall not prevail’?

I extend my deepest condolences to Israel as a nation as well as the mourning relatives. This is an unspeakable tradegy.
The spirit of death runs rampant over the earth, but we who walk in the Light and Life and Love of YHVH, courageously advance to spread His glorious Light.
The darkness shall not overpower His Light.
This is normal media ‘news coverage’. So many outrages are happening it would be easy to be continuously outraged!
We can’t live that way. Pick a battle and jump in with both feet. Stay focused and let the rest go.
