I like Bills point. Success and intelligence can be measured in different ways.
Another angle is to look at this from the engineers point of view. Bill Gates eats and sleeps his business. Not so with the rest of his company. Some people want a life, a family a world with margins to explore something other than their business.
Point? Do what you do best and love to do most and it really does not matter if you own the business or if you are a team member in the business, if it gives you the cash-flow you need for your lifestyle its a SUCCESS. And even if it doesn't; it can give you enough money to start a business on the side and supplement your income. Thats what Real estate does.
The reason why there are so many churches and denominations and division in general, is that man has difficulty finding the place where maximum self expression and freedom can be found while living in the tension of a team or community. This includes marriages as well i guess.
I think we miss something when we exalt “being your own boss” beyond where we should. After all, was this not Lucifers problem? He wanted to have a different role than the one God assigned. He wanted to be No #1 and in his “hostile takeover” it required Jesus to come to earth as a “Servant”…a clear second chair… working for His Fathers pleasure in a family business.
What was Gods ultimate plan? To promote the servant to CEO of a universal new operation that never stops expanding.
How do these two Bible concepts apply?
“He that is faithful in little will be faithful in much.”
“He that cannot be faithful in that which is anthers shall not be entrusted with that which is his own.”
