The message in this image here is another way of saying what David said, “I will not offer unto the Lord that which costs me nothing.”
Feelings do not always run in the same direction as the will of God. It might be that the single greatest distinction between those who are led of the Spirit and those who are dominated by the flesh is this: “For if through the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” (Ro 8:13-14)
So how often do we not do what we feel like doing, simply because it pleases the Father? Those who do so are the true sons of God.
Is this encouraging? Thoughts?
HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

Yes that helps. But I guess, in the situation I’m in, my lingering thought is, how is it pleasing him to crush me? (just sort of thinking out loud, so to speak.)
