"America, we are better than this."

“America, we are better than this.”
Bishop Jackson, Niger Innis—National Spokesperson for Congress on Racial Equality (CORE), executive director of a Tea Party group and founder of Restore the Dream 2015—and Alveda are part of a growing coalition of socially and ethnically blended preachers and civil rights leaders who are leading the charge to promote peaceful solutions to the issues that are at the root of explosive eruptions across our nation.
Alveda says: “Right now, the spotlight is on Ferguson, Missouri, where a grand jury comprised of the peers (blacks and whites) of Michael Brown and Darren Wilson failed to indict Officer Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. Again, peers, including several blacks, in a unanimous vote found that reasonable doubt might prevent the prosecutor from gaining a conviction of Officer Wilson.”
Niger Innis writes…
“The homicide rate among African-American men is far too high. Yet another somewhat confusing mitigating factor is that over 90 percent of the deaths of black males come at the hands of other black men, not white police officers. Are those black lives worth less than those taken by whites?”
(Lance- and 83% whites are killed by whites)
“In the weeks and months ahead, Americans and our leaders must focus on addressing these issues in a thoughtful and inclusive manner.”
“America, we are at a crossroads. Will we settle for burned-out cities or will we pray for an arising of hope?”
(Lance) I am in total agreement. It is maddening to see the clumsy, blame shifting, political opportunism and hot potato nature of these issues. Satan cannot cast out Satan.
Offensive as it sounds, unregenerate men are largely incompetent when it comes to dealing with devils. Satan is at work from the highest levels of self interested government down. Democrats exploit the pain and Republicans ignore the pain. Libertarians don't like the pain but are too high to notice. (lighten up libertarians) Nobody can HEAL the pain but Jesus.
The kingdom is a delivering force. We are the army of the kingdom of righteousness, peace and JOY! These problems will NEVER be solved until GODS PEOPLE realize the system is broken without us. The cycle of pain and rage and poverty is not a political issue that can be solved by government. The data is clear: 90% black on black crime is connected to…
1. broken families
2. broken down schools and inadequate education
3. broken business opportunities to get out of poverty…hence no job skills training.
The left with its anti-Christian focus will keep the churches hands tied. But the church is Gods spiritual government.
Since natural government has failed lets try something NEW! Bishop Wellington Boone and I talked about the need for “Christianity in Black and White.” Lets get some government or private money to fund an experiment in one single city with similar demographics to Ferguson. The body of Christ, walking in unity can MAKE IT CLEAR…”blessed is that city whose God is the Lord.”
The solution is found in the Great Commission: Go make disciples….we're talking about empowering the CHURCH to make disciples-
1. Churches to disciple families
2. Churches to disciple students to complete High School
3. Churches to disciple a new work force with start up money for business!
Typical of the insanity of leftist progressive instigators, the majority of stores that were damaged or completely destroyed during Monday night's violent riots in Ferguson were minority owned by members of the community trying to break out of poverty. 25 structural fires caused by vandals and looters included: Walgreens, Little Caesers Pizza, Autozone, Beauty Town, Title Max, Family Dollar Store, and O'Reilly Auto Parts. Small-business owner Natalie Dubose was in tears when she realized her cake store was attacked by vandals.
Dubose, a mother of two, previously told CNN, “If I can't open my doors every morning, I can't feed my kids in the evening. Just don't burn my shop down, don't destroy it.”
If WE don't step up in this issue, who will? The politics of resentment and wealth redistribution will build a society that is awful not lawful, innovative and wealth creating. America IS better than this.
