WHAT?!?…..The Church is NOT the kingdom.
Time for BIG THOUGHT SHIFTS today as I wrote on the world's largest whiteboard in my home church in Dallas Texas, Covenant Church.
The Church is NOT the kingdom.
The “church” is the authorized dealer of the “kingdom.”
The church locates where Hell's gates are operating and goes toward those places with keys that LOCK and UNLOCK the activity of the spirit realm over that situation.
“Christos” is the Greek for “anointing or anointed one.”
The body of Christ is the BODY OF THE ANOINTED!
YOU ARE ANOINTED to operate in a certain sphere of the body.
You have something in you that can edify and strengthen other members. Something in you can change the atmosphere, somewhere in the world, or solve a problem.
Your gifts and talents are the things the anointing rests upon. Find your gift and you find your slingshot, David!
The “kingdom” is the sphere over which a King reigns. Not all spheres are submitted to Christ but just the same “all authority” has already been given to Earth under submission to Christ.
The kingdoms of THIS world are now subject to the authority of Christ. “All power in heaven and ON EARTH – HAS BEEN – given to me. GO therefore and TEACH ALL NATIONS…” (Mt 28:18)
Not all cities or nations will submit – but this is not proof that they can't do so, it is proof that we do not obey. He is the one who told us to “make disciples of nations.” Why command us to do an impossibility?
God is speaking this message now because our faith must be fed in this area. Faith cometh by hearing the word of God.
In fact Jesus wondered about this, saying: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the Earth?” (Lk 18:8) He wills that no man perish, yet men perish. He wills all to be saved. Likewise he wills that nations be saved.
“This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a TESTIMONY to all the NATIONS, and then the end will come.” (Mt 24:14) God wants national-level testimonies.
When He returns, He separates nations into sheep and goat status. Somewhere there will be a victorious testimony of a “sheep” nation or “sheep” city. This will be evidence and testimony to the reality of the power of the age to come!
The ones who do this work, are probably those who Daniel refers to as those that do exploits! Daniel 11:32 (NIV) said ~ “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
The anointed body of Christ is charged to go where the gates are located and establish a church right there – to do exploits.
“I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.” (Mt 16:18)
Where Hell has gates, the church should be planting its spiritual government.
If there are “gates of hell”, they are plural.
Hell's primary gates are over governments and economics and media. Anointed believers should be establishing churches right in proximity. They are also over education systems, artists, music, located strong in certain population areas, especially major cities.
The kingdoms of THIS world are now subject to the authority of Christ.
