The April 24, 2024, Fox Business Network show, Kudlow, hosted by economist Larry Kudlow, featured a news segment that included Mark Simone, WOR Radio host, and Joe Concha, Fox News Contributor (who specializes in media analysis). Following, verbatim, is their discussion about hush money payments made by CBS News, NBC News, etc., and regarding Anti-Trump lawyers joining together in weekly Zoom calls with left-leaning network TV journalists to prep for, what Concha said, “a coordinated attack on Donald Trump.”
Host Kudlow started off the segment:
“Democratic lawyers — group think — secret session”
“Now there's some famous [lawyers] — they're gearing up for other networks — discussions about the Trump trials — Laurence Tribe, George Conway, Jeffrey Toobin, John Dean [who is] a very famous Nixon lawyer. Norm Ornstein — used to be a conservative Republican. Jennifer Rubin — used to be a Republican. Andrew Weissmann, who's an old Trump-hater going way back. Joe, what kind of grades do you give them for these networks? They were rehearsing their stuff.”
Joe Concha said:
“Every Friday, this happens on Zoom, and if you're inviting Jeffrey Tubin to a Zoom call…
So, when you hear all these legal analysts on these other networks, all kind of sound a lot like each other as if a memo went out or as it was, I don't know — rehearsed, this is exactly what's going on. It's a coordinated attack on Donald Trump, who said this is a legal conspiracy against me, and now we're seeing that carried out by those who are on these networks on seemingly an hourly basis, Larry.”
Kudlow said:
“What do you think, Mark? I'm sure you're on a first-name basis with all of these people, right? Regulars on your radio show,” Kudlow said satirically.
Simone said:
“Let's remember, the only manufacturing jobs Joe Biden brought to America are these guys manufacturing charges against Trump. All these dirty prosecutors manufacturing charges and the good news is it takes 12 of them to figure out what to say on these shows. All these cases are from years ago. We're supposed to believe all four just happened to hit when Trump starts his campaign? And these guys, like Andrew Weissmann — he's the Russia hoax — him teaming up with these journalists — it's just awful.
Kudlow said:
“John Dean, famous Nixon lawyer. Norman Ornstein and Jennifer Rubin used to be Republicans, now they're — I don't know what they are. They're all Trump haters. This is part of the Trump-derangement syndrome, basically, is the way I see it.”
Simone said:
Yeah, it's the most awful conspiracy, if by the way, everybody that they work for — those networks — NBC News, CBS News — they've all signed non-disclosure agreements. They've all paid hush money. You know, they had to clean up that CBS news scandal…that Matt Lauer scandal. These organizations have signed a lot more non-disclosures than Donald Trump ever has.
