Missing Rush

This week marks the second anniversary of Rush Limbaugh’s death. In the interest of publishing things on social media they are likely to suppress, I wanted to talk about Rush and you and me.
His conservatism, delivered plainly yet intelligently, was that of millions throughout the country. For me he was at first an annoying voice my mother played on the radio at home. I had no interest in Clinton. I was a young revivalist and politics was a distraction.

When I listened to Glen Beck and read Dinesh DeSouza books I became aware of Soros and Obama, the dangers of race manipulation and Marxism taking down America. I discovered that great men of God in the faith camp and prophetic camp loved Rush.

That’s when I started listening to Rush.

From then on Rush became what I would call, a remote mentor. He taught me. In fact, I started podcasting based on how he would do radio. Soon we will add “open mic Friday” and break our 10 million download mark.
One of his pieces of advice was to avoid getting captured by the audience. Do not allow them to set topics or force my views. It is my show and I should be authentic and relatable and allow room for disagreement.
That line about “getting captured by the audience” explains the difference between true prophets and others who get caught up in waving the prophetic pompoms on one side or worrying about politics and accusations of “dominionism” on the other.

The fear of man is a snare.

Rush had a unique truth detector and a well defined conservative worldview. This combination enabled him to predict what the left would do next with uncanny accuracy.
It starts with the truth boldly and convincingly proclaimed, combined with the courage to NOT get captured by the audience.
I’ve grown to love my audience.
That’s why I travel when I don’t need to and speak to groups of any size. They are my heroes, slugging it out day by day trying to stay hopeful. I do what I do for them more than anything.
If you are part of that audience, would you be willing to join Annabelle and me in prayer as I look at expanding into radio for the next season? I feel like we have at least 10 million Americans who need a Pentecostal Rush Limbaugh for the next 7 years. Especially as we go into another Presidential election and fraud battle.
If I can cross into radio and grow ––with no radio experience–– then you can likewise do anything also before you check out of planet earth.

I think our movement needs something like Steve Bannon’s War Room but more like a Holy Ghost 7 Mountain War Room. With Pentecostal Rush exposing the enemy, rallying the troops and mobilizing the ground game.

What do you think?

  1. Good to hear you are moving your tent pegs out a bit, Lance. As requested, I’m praying for you to move with precision, and that you will hear that voice saying, “This is the way.”

  2. Hey Lance — Sounds like you were “evangelized” into Rush fandom like most of us. We need your voice and your perspective in today’s battles. We’ve got your back in prayer.
