Mr. Wallnau, thank you for your insightful perspective and related commentary. My thoughts following represent a particular concern of mine, for your consideration.
As Christians we know of the transformative power of Our Saviour. We rely on the fact that He will change us for our good, taking us from glory to glory.
How unfortunate it is then that so many today set out to pitifully redefine themselves, according to current mores — often self-destructively! (Particularly lamentable, if not alarming, are those situations in which vulnerable souls, even children, through worldly influences, are literally modified, or, at least, personally redefined and/or reclassified, coercively).
Only God can be trusted with the task of modifying man for his betterment; and this because He, and not the world, made us. Would that people might distinguish: the desire they feel to change comes from God and it represents His call on our lives to become fully His.
