Did you know that transition, trouble, and divine timing are all often tied together? There are at least two references in the Bible to supernatural transition, one involving Phillip in Acts 8:40 and one right here involving not only Jesus but a boat and twelve people!
The story has unique details recorded in John 6 and Matthew 14 where Jesus sent the crowd away and told His disciples to take the boat and “go to the other side.” The twelve attempted to do what he said but got STUCK IN TRANSITION, halfway to the other side. They rowed and rowed but the “sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew” them to a near standstill in the middle of the lake.
This suggests that sometimes when God sends you through TRANSITION “from here to there,” it is possible to hit circumstances and “contrary winds” hindering your path. You may feel like things are off schedule and you may even be getting tired trying to row against the contradiction. Don't quit because it's going to get real interesting real fast.
Something sinister seemed to be approaching on the water. If you were close enough you would hear the mighty deliverance team of twelve apostles “cry out in fear,” saying “it's a ghost!” But it wasn't a ghost; it was the Lord of Hosts.
Jesus spoke, “It is I, be not afraid.” Now, John 6:21 states: “Then they willingly received him into the ship” and…get this: The Bible says “IMMEDIATELY THE SHIP WAS AT THE LAND whither they went.” You want to circle the word “immediately.” This is called time travel and most people miss this miracle. A boat and thirteen men got translated four miles in a nano second.

When you have been delayed by contrary circumstances but faithful in doing what God called you to do, you frequently have the privilege of meeting Jesus in an expression you have never seen before. When He is invited to come on board your ship God compensates for the delay by supernaturally getting you back on schedule. He RESTORES THE YEARS!
Keep rowing to the other side. Row in the face of the financial problem. Row in the face of the marriage challenge, row against those contrary winds in your ministry or education, because if you are not getting closer to the breakthrough, Jesus must be getting closer to YOUR BOAT!
Just keep looking for Him in the contradiction and look at scripture like this and say, “He told them to go to the other side; He told me also…I am only doing what He told me to do.”

You asked us to share our breakthroughs so here is mine. I had been stuck ‘in the middle of the lake” for some time concerning several things that God has been trying to teach me and then a breakthrough occurred and I transitioned to a full understanding of what He wanted me to understand, when Jesus gave me the answer I was seeking. I don’t know how much this will be an inspiration to others, but it is a great inspiration to me. Perhaps I was just slow getting it. I will do my best to keep this as short as possible.
Recently God has given me a couple of dreams. In each of the dreams there has been a recurring theme. In each dream I realize it is a dream, and at that point I am able to take control of the dream, change things how I want. When I realize it is a dream I take authority within the dream and I am absolutely convinced that I can control the things going on in the dream, and so I can. I won’t go into great detail of the dreams but I will share a couple of salient points that occurred in the dream.
In the first dream I was trapped deep within a labyrinth of caves, something like a mining operation but with huge caverns. In that dream I was not supposed to be there and when I was discovered, everyone was out to get me, in what felt like a sinister or evil way. I moved from cavern to cavern and could not find a way out, but there was always people in each cavern who began to chase me. As the dream went on I began to realize I was in a dream, and I thought to myself, if this is my dream then I can take authority over the dream and make things happen. With faith in the fact that I was dreaming, I was able to make people freeze in their tracks, to not be able to move. As I continued to search for a way out, I realized I could create one, so I caused an elevator to be formed that would get me up to the surface, which corresponded to waking from the dream. The really wild part to me was I awoke with the last stanza of Row, Row, Row Your Boat repeating over an over in my mind. ‘Merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.’ I realized that God was trying to show me that the same faith and authority I used in my dream could be used in real life.
Another dream I had, my wife and I were waiting to get involved with what was going on in the dream. We suddenly became tired and we lay down and went to sleep within the dream. Then we both had the same dream within the dream of an evil chasing us, which we could stay ahead of until we would come to a fence with a gate. The gate would not open and by the time we climbed over, the evil was just catching up, so we would be off and running again to stay ahead. But we kept running into fences with gates that would not open, so we had to climb over and give the evil time to catch up. After jumping another fence we began to run and it suddenly occurred to me that we were in a dream together. Once I realized this I told her to go on running, but I turned to face the evil, ready and armed with the faith that as this was a dream I could do what I wanted to control it. I was ready to take authority over the evil and defeat it, I simply knew that I could, when we both suddenly awoke from the dream within the dream. At this point we talked about it and realized we were having the same dream, that we were both in the same dream together. Then I awoke from the main dream. I realized that God was trying to show me that we are all in the same dream together, the dream of reality that God dreams.
Concurrently with having these dreams God has taken me to very specific scriptures, again all with the same theme. The first scripture was Matt. 17:20 which says “…for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU.”
The second scripture I was lead to during the time frame that I was having these dreams was Matt. 21:21-22 which says “Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YE SHALL RECEIVE.”
The third and last scripture God directed me to was 1st Corinthians 13:2 which says “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY, I AM NOTHING.”
Now each of the last lines are meant to go together so that what God was telling me is “Through the love of God within me all things that I ask in prayer with belief that I will receive, I will receive, and nothing will be impossible to me.” I am to have faith like in the dreams, to believe that I can change things. This applies to every born again Spirit filled Christian. God was teaching me that I might share this revelation with others.
You see, reality is simply God’s dream which He can shape and change however he likes, just like I did within my own dreams and the shared dream with my wife. But what really makes this awesome is that each and every one of us help shape the dream by our free will choices already. And as believers we can take authority over the dream of reality and CHANGE THINGS THROUGH OUR FAITH AND PRAYER! Jesus gave us this authority by simply being believers, His disciples, whom he charged with “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt 10:8) This authority is already ours to take control of parts of the dream of reality that is God’s and ours combined. God gets all the glory, but this authority is OURS, it resides in each of us that are true Spirit filled believers and disciples of Jesus Christ. When we pray we don’t need to ask if it is God’s will or not, it already is! By the authority given to us as joint heirs with Christ Jesus, WE can make changes to the dream of reality, the dream we share with God, AND NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO US! We just need to REALIZE that we have the authority to shape God’s dream already, for God’s glory.
This is why Peter said in Acts 3:6 “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I HAVE GIVE I THEE: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” He did not have to ask God’s will on this, God’s will was already given to him when Jesus gave them the authority in Matt 10:8. He already had the authority, he already had the ability within himself! ‘But such as I HAVE GIVE I THEE!’ He gave the glory to God even though he did this through his own gift and authority by saying ‘In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth’! God got all the glory because it was from God that Peter already had this authority and gift. But the healing itself came from Peter’s authority and gift which Jesus charged “…freely ye have received, freely give.” And so that is exactly what Peter did. He took authority over God’s dream and freely gave what he had to give, which was a healing.
It is interesting to note that when Jesus first gave them this commission (Matt 10:8) they were not yet Spirit filled. Yet they already had the authority from Jesus as His disciples to do these things. How much more can a disciple filled with the Holy Spirit do these things!
The devil has been busy throughout the years making Christians doubt their own authority, and in so doing we do not freely give what has been given to us. The truth is every Spirit filled Christian is a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, and instead of asking God redundantly if it is His will, we need to realize that it already is His will that we freely heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils by our own authority which has been given to us by God for God’s glory!
However, that is not the only thing God was showing me. I have been going over your teaching on the 7 mountains and how we are to hold the gate at the top of the mountains. Without getting specific I feel that God is leading me to go to the governmental mountain. As I am neither a politician or much given to be involved with government I wait to see how God will effect this.
Mountains are representative of kingdoms. The other thing I felt God has shown me is that we can remove the mountain that is held by principalities and replace it with the mountain of God as the kings we are. We can replace the evil mountain (principality) with a mountain (kingdom) made from and through the love of God. It is our authority and gift to do this for God’s glory.
I have followed your teaching on the Melchizedek anointing and I understand that we are meant to be kings and priests, or lords. After all, Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and I believe that refers to Spirit filled Christians as being Kings and Lords (Priests) under Him. This means that we already have the authority over every principality and prince of evil, as a king has authority higher than a prince. We just need to realize that authority and then use it. It may take much prayer and fasting but I believe we can conquer any principality. A prince should not be in charge of a mountain or kingdom, a king should be in charge of the kingdom.
What God has shown me on authority is this: the Father is the highest authority, then Jesus is the next highest authority under the Father. The Holy Spirit is next in authority so that the Spirit filled believer is the next highest authority under Jesus through the Holy Spirit, as we are kings and lords under Him, and joint heirs with Him. Then come the princes and principalities, both good and evil angels. Demons are under angels yet have authority higher than a non-believer and this is why they can plague and posses them. And under them are the non-believers. There are only two levels of authority ABOVE the Spirit filled Christian and that is the Father and the Lord Jesus. EVERY other authority is UNDER the Holy Spirit filled believer.
We are given the Holy Spirit to place our authority at this level. Philippians 2:6, “Who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:” and Romans 8:17, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Matthew 10:24-25, “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord…” Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power (authority), after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” In these four scriptures we see that Jesus considered himself equal with God, and we being joint heirs with Christ and heirs of God who also are filled with the Holy Spirit and therefore our authority is recognized by God as equal. When we exercise our authority God is saying that every authority under us must recognize it as equal to God’s authority! This in no way implies that we are gods, we are not in any way above God, simply that as His disciples and servants we are as God in authority! As an example, if a high lord sent a servant of his to send a message to an underling lord who had more authority than the servant, the underling would still accept this message from the servant as if it was from his high lord, and by that lords authority! At that moment in that circumstance the servant was as his lord in authority.
Again, I do not know if this will be enlightening to anyone else, perhaps this is simply something that everyone already knows. But I felt the need to share this lesson God gave me and so I did. It was of great inspiration to me, especially how God has brought it all together in my life. This was my breakthrough and I hope it can be of value to others.
