Have you felt the shaking, almost like a quaking, that has been going on in the natural and supernatural realms?
I knew the moment I understood this concept that it was a word for many.
“I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven.” (Revelation 4:1) There is a door now opened in the heavens. But, you must go up to go through!
This has been a season of colliding spiritual climates. Erratic warfare, release and heaviness, brilliant light followed by sudden darkness—and not just in the same day—sometimes within the same ten minutes! While praying, my wife contacted me and said she heard the words, “A changing of the guard.” I’m not sure what all of that means to you, but the atmosphere has shifted and the angelic realm is upgrading all around you!
I sensed the Lord say to us, “I am going before you.” There has been a distinct advance and change of activity in the heavens. We are contending for destiny, and that individual destiny is connected to our individual position in the Spirit. More specifically, our promotions are now connected to the strength of our inner man and our capacity to go up and go through the door of transition into a new anointing and new season of harvest. The door is open. The voice is calling. The timing is now.
In Revelation, when John looked and saw the open door, it was “standing” not moving. It was in heaven not on earth. This is a door made available in the spirit realm—right over your existing situation. I see now the reason for the seemingly violent shifts of atmosphere. It is because our spirit man must grow in strength in order to access and go into this new dimension. If we are to see more heaven on earth, we must be seated in this heavenly realm.
Then John heard, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (Revelation 4:1) John was told that when he went through the door into the next dimension, he would see things to come. A heightened level of prophetic perception is operating in those who have strength to see and hear—to go through (and stay through) the open door.
If we will stay in this heavenly dimension of authority, the things that vexed and harassed and clung to us will fall off. There is an anointing for upgrade upon us now. Previous performance won’t disqualify you. Heaven is calling you up into a closer intimacy—a more glorious obsession—with the Godhead.
So what is the secret to the overcoming life?
It is an awareness of an open door in heaven (right above your existing circumstance), which equals more grace and increase. This means less of all the weights and restrictions that held you down during the last season of wrestling.
Let’s go up and go through together!

Thank you Lance. Your message is so on point and so convicting. My inner spirit has been so troubled and so restless lately. I need to rise up above the turbulence and walk through the door that Jesus is leaving open right now. What has been heavy on my heart are my family and friends who are not saved. They think my thoughts and views re the Lord are extreme. I recognize some are influenced by New Age and others with religious spirits. I’ve been struggling to keep from getting discouraged. Your words confirm my need to rise up into the heavenlies to be where the Lord is for He alone is my living hope in that I stand in the gap for my loved ones pleading Jesus over them, surrendering my burdens to Jesus. He is the asnswer. My spirit aligned with Holy Spirit to arise up and fully trust God, believing He finds a way when their is no way to save them; to loosen and break demonic strongholds from them for he has a 1000 ways to set them free. I know this is the level of faith that pleases God. Thanks for such encouragement that has revealed my need to practice a greater level of faith. I was reading in my Bible and in Ezekiel 9 I came across a very interesting verse which seems like it would parallel today. In Ez 9:4 the Lord calls man in white ( probably an angel ) who is with is with six others (warriors) and tells him to put a Mark on their foreheads all the people in Jerusalem who grieve and lament over all detestable things done in there. But to Slaughter and Kill All without pity those who have Not. Have No pity on them. I myself as well as others & Christians have felt great remorse of the things happening in our country today. Are we marked by the Lord’s angel? Are we in prayer, maybe even on our knees and doing what we can in our sphere of influence to stop the evil going on. The Lord knows those who are his. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
Thank you, Lance. I have been feeling an overwhelming heaviness on my spirit, almost making me physically ill. I actually went to the ER a few nights ago with elevated blood pressure. I actually feel like I’m crouching on a battlefield trying not to get hit. I pray for more faith, more hope and more calm. Come, Holy Spirit and fill us with what we need at this time. There definitely is a shaking happening. If it weren’t for my kids and grandkids still needing me….I would welcome my exit. Prayers for all. Keep lifting us up, Lance. Your calmness helps. Over the past five or six years, every time I read something that you have posted it is exactly where I am spiritually and have been encountering. We have such a precious and considerate Father.
Thank you for writing about the shaking. I have been physically experiencing the quaking, I know that it is in the spirit realm but is so strong that I physically get caught up in it, more than once saying to my husband, “did you feel that?”
