I am heading to Naples but wanted to get this to you. I’ve been thinking about
Ezra 9:9 because this book starts off with Cyrus and ends with Nehemiah building a wall.
The first wave of returning Jews was with Zerubbabel. Ezra was the next wave.
The verse I’m looking at (Ezra 9:9) has a sequence:
1. Revive the People
2. Repair the House of God
3. Rebuild the ruins and the Wall.
This suggests something about our day, don’t you think?
