These last verses from 2 Timothy 2 have always challenged me, and even more now. “And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition…” When the opposition seems so crazy and even atrocious, I find it hard to be gentle, patient and humble with them. But Lance is right, such people have become so captive to the enemy that it takes a lot of patience to help them to “come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil.” But we can expect that’s what God wants us to do, especially now that revival is spreading to the most unlikely people.
