I do not think that Judas was rejected because he stole money. John 17: 12 12″ While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.” Ps 41:9 foretells his betrayal. “The son of perdition” is a Hebrew idiom for one destined to perish. (NASB) He did not have the inner anointing of the Spirit which the other chosen, predestined disciples had to keep him from doing evil. Jesus said he was predestined to betray Him.
