About 2 weeks ago the Lord gave me new revelation on King David Shepherd boy David warrior David and the true meaning of a Shepherd (Pastor)
David when he was a young shepherd, was being trained by God What a true shepherd was to be. God had a similar role for David, only much more important! It was to protect the sheep of God’s pasture, and he had been tested & trained. Fighting off lions and bears and who knows what else in keeping his flock safe!
As I shared this with my prayer group, about What I felt God was saying, the need for our pastors across this nation and world to rise up like warrior David’s That was also their true calling! At the time that the Lord revealed this to me I did not remember Ezekiel 34 until a friend shared it with me the following morning after I told her and some others.
What America needs, is More (from every denomination) Warrior Pastors/Shepherds like David, rising and standing up against the onslaught of the enemy in our culture David type shepherds for their own flocks & pastures!! David was a man after God’s own heart, he defended the people of God and went after the enemy and did not let them invade his pasture! He had many mighty men alongside him, though he himself was classified as a shepherd, his mighty men were men of war, warriors to protect the people. I am seeing this as a picture of what is needed Now in our nation! We need more Warrior Shepherds to arise and join hands and lead into battle against the cultural onslaught of evil in our nation.
I have always thought of pastors as shepherds of God’s flock, of God’s people, but I’ve always looked upon shepherds as being gentle, kind, and gently leading his people teaching always more in a very quiet peaceful motherly type fashion.
But the Lord really spoke to me on how David was a mighty great warrior! That he fought off the enemies of his flock, and the enemies in the pasture and later of God’s people! I had never looked upon a shepherd as being a warrior until the Lord clearly showed me how he got David ready by tending the flocks in the pasture and fighting off the bears and the Lions with the power of God in him. How few pastors in these United States do we have that are actually standing up and fighting the bears and the ferocious Lions of the culture invading us in His pasture! I literally see a picture of this In my mind / heart eye. Right now we need more warrior shepherds! (Like David) That is the word I received.
