Is It Favor Or The Law Of Attraction?

Are you familiar with the “Law of Attraction?”

It’s pretty popular these days with secularists and the New Age community. They think the Law of Attraction is some kind of cosmic “juju” that attracts people and opportunities to you.

In reality, biblical favor releases influence through you, so that other people are inclined to like, trust or cooperate with you—in the assignment God gave you!

This favor isn’t worldly—it’s a God-given supernatural force that magnetizes you! Luke 2:52 says that Jesus “increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

We can learn a lot about how to grow in these areas by following Jesus’ example during His earthly ministry.

So, what are the key principles involved in this phenomenon?

1. Motivation: What influence do you want to have? Is your intent to manipulate or to bless? You and I both know that you can guide people into particular experiences and thoughts. You can structure the transaction to serve yourself. But that’s a far cry from what God actually does. He desires for you to move in a spirit of favor and operate from a place of wanting to bless—instead of wanting to get something from other people. No matter how shrewd you think you are, there is One who weighs our motivations. Ask yourself, “Do I have the character to sustain the influence God has given me?”

2. Stewardship: The Lord wants to entrust increase to His people and He wants to entrust it in a way that doesn’t destroy you when you get it. Remember that he who is faithful with little will be trusted with much—this includes your influence with those God has placed in your path (Luke 16:10). God desires for you to prosper in business and in relationships; be faithful to the calling He has set in your heart.

3. Relationship: Meaningful interactions with others, whether in business, friendship or family circles, are our greatest assets. The people we are surrounded with should be the most valuable consequence of walking in favor and obedience with the Lord. If we have all that money and success can buy but do not invest in those closest to us, what do we have?

Favor is a form of currency with which you can form supercharged alliances, if stewarded properly. These alliances get you where you want to go, faster!

One of the greatest gifts that you could ever receive is the gift of favor and the power of supernatural attraction. Where have you found unexpected favor in your own life? We often have more favor than we realize!

  2. I get favor everywhere I go. I expect it and look for it, but I also GIVE favor to those who I want goods or services from. Politeness and respect go a long way to get favor. As the only corporate traveller with a double booked seat, I was polite, and waited patiently while others were arguing, complaining, and expressing all sorts of rage and anger. When the seats were finally called, I was called in to preboard and promptly put in seat #2 business class. All the dirty looks came from those who were seated at the end in the back of the plane and I could tell that they didn’t get the same favor I got. God is good and patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit! So we aren’t surprised when we get it!

  3. Lance, thank you for sharing this wonderful truth!

It is a blessing to have favour in even the smallest action in our everyday life and we shouldn’t take it for granted. This summer I had some of my family members come for a three day visit, while driving to some of the very busy tourist spots we always were able to find a prime parking spot!

One of my Granddaughters said wow we have
found great parking spots this entire trip!
I was able to share how this was favour! Small issue but I was very thankful!

  4. Yes, I have had great favor. My childhood was very hard. I knew of Jesus through my Catholic upbringing, but never felt comfortable. I called upon the Lord when my husband and I had our first child. I asked him to help me give her a much better childhood, a peaceful home with no alcoholism and all that comes with it. HE did better He drew me close to him, and when my daughter was a year old I committed my life to Christ. I was baptized, and now with 2 beautiful daughters so more confident in life than I was, have gifted me with a total of 4 grandchildren. I have 2 great son in laws, and we all voted for Donald J Trump, and we support all that fight daily to save our country and life. I had to walk away from my siblings after both parents died as too many traits continued. Forgive and love but my life is amazingly peaceful and rick with love and relationship. I asked God for this when just a small little girl. God bless.

  6. I’ve enjoyed the Favor of the Lord for the last 10 years. After learning about Grace and the intense love the Father has for us. I’m a salesperson ,have been for about 50 years. Just yesterday I realized I am now going to refer to myself as an influencer, rather than a salesperson. I know I have been blessed with favor & inturn I will say I would always prefer to influence rather than just sell. Yet as successful as I’ve been I never wanted to be fully commissioned. Now I realize I was the problem,
allowing fear to decide a salary instead of a commission.

  7. Thank you Lance. I appreciate you sending this message to me. It’s an important personal issue to be given thought and application for the betterment of God’s kingdom that it be established on earth.

Praise God He is directing and guiding your footsteps to encourage us at this time. That HD is fining you eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying at this time. Hallelujah! Glory to God.

  8. Also, Lance
I have a little book by Bob Buess called ‘Favour, the Road to Success’ it’s about how favour changes insecurity into self confidence.
“For thou, Lord, will bless the righteous ; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

Applying God’s favour [to us] to others – our family
and friends and those we meet is connecting us all ‘As One’.

  9. Thank you again Lance. Timely as always. Yes, have experienced this ‘favor’ at work, and many places I go, yet I did not have a term for it. I pray indeed to have Christ’s character built up in me, to be a reliable servant/steward.

  10. God be with you always Lance . Your kindness to share is so appreciated . Always look forward to the next one .
Seeing favor can be as simple as running through a string of green lights and when your on the other side your like wow ! How did that happened . Verses hitting every red light .
Being a Carpenter I rely on Gods favor to get me through one job and on to another .
Recognizing Gods favor as a gift , not something of your own doing is important.
Favor should lead to gratitude and gratitude to thankfulness . Thanks for your inspiration Lance God keep you healthy and safe Amen
