He lost everything when his manufacturing facility burned to the ground. Standing in the ashes, Bob Bertelsen heard God speak in the most audible voice of his life, and it changed how he has run his business ever since.
Is your business really yours, or are you just the steward of something bigger?
On this episode, Lance Wallnau sits down with entrepreneur and author Bob Bertelsen, whose new book “Ain't Your Money” is already a bestseller in three Amazon categories. Bob built A Plus Powder Coating from a mortgaged house into a company with 80 employees, but the real turning point wasn't a business decision. It was a fire, a voice, and a decree of ownership he wrote and signed over to God.
What are you really carrying, ownership or stewardship?
In this episode:
– Lance's warning on AI, job displacement, and the coming universal income debate
– The 1988 fire that destroyed Bob's manufacturing facility, and the voice he heard afterward
– Why Bob calls himself a “Chief Executive Steward,” not a CEO
– The mortgage the house moment that started A Plus in 1996
– A 2015 expansion that nearly bankrupted the company, and the prayer that changed everything
– The “decree of ownership” Bob wrote for his business, home, and ministry
– Biblical stewardship principles from Matthew, Malachi, and Deuteronomy 8:18
