We Might Need to Redefine “Christian Nationalism”

We may need to redefine “Christian Nationalism” somewhat but it is nice to know Christians are having an impact.
What aspects of this definition do you think need to be refined? What is the difference between a soldier or police officer who uses force and a citizen? Why did the early church experience martyrdom rather than resort to armed resistance? Is there anything different about today? These are tough questions but I’ve seen a great many good people stumble over the populist movement in America. They completely misread this thing because on one hand they are so conditioned to passivity that they see any conflict as an indication something is wrong. On the other hand they have a strange caricature in their head of what a Christian economic nationalist looks like and the Left serves up a picture they swallow.

On Memorial Day we should take a moment to think about those who gave their lives so that we can be free, independent and United as a nation. We should resolve to do anything necessary to guard this fragile experiment in self government so that our children remain free and the Gospel is given free course to cover the earth.
