Do you know the authority that you carry?
You have the power to let—or not allow—people or situations to rattle you. John 14:1 exhorts us: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
“Let not your heart be troubled” means you have the executive ability to command the traffic that comes in and out of your emotional state—at the deepest level.
Let’s explore two keys to rise and stay above the arrows fired at us:
- Make your problem hostage to your purpose: Jesus did this! In John 12:27, Jesus says, ‘“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? “Father, save Me from this hour”? But for this purpose I came to this hour.”’ Jesus recognized the larger story at work and reminded himself and His disciples of the truth as His sacrifice drew near. He also left us with these comforting words a bit further on in John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
- Ask yourself questions that bring a heavenly perspective: “How does going through this challenge rather than avoiding it actually serve my real purpose? How does it help me be more authentic? Can I use it as a tool to improve next time?” This trying situation could be the very thing that keeps you from falling into a ditch in the future, or fills you with wisdom to guide others on the path. Look for the treasures along the way!
If these keys don’t work for you—get some intercessors—‘cause you are under high level attack…but even that can be a sign you’re on the right path!
Be somebody the devil thinks is dangerous.
As One,
Lance Wallnau

This is a very timely word for me. I screenshoted it so I can pull it up daily for the struggles that come across my paths. I definitely am going to get a sweatshirt made with the saying ” Be somebody the devil thinks is dangerous “!
…Or be the one when your feet hit the floor in the morning the devil thinks …oh snap! he’s awake….in JESUS AUTHORITY!
Mr Wallnau your messages are inspiring to say the least! This is now my daily mantra…. “BE SOMEONE THE DEVIL IS AFRAID OF!!” I LOVE THIS!!
More of God’s soldiers are getting their two feet firmly planted on the ground and we are making a difference!
Stand tall, stay strong and keep God close to your heart, he see’s all that is wrong and we are blessed to have His guidance!
All the best from Petra in your neighbouring North 🇨🇦
