Trying On Cowboy Hats

I’m watching Tony Mathews make my friend Harsha a cowboy hat! He's bringing character to the hat.

Welcome to Leddys at the Stockyards in Fort Worth.

LANCE–Fabulous! WELCOME! YOU have Now joined those of us who have lived our lives wearing cowboy hats (don’t forget to get some boots for “occasions.”) It is a sacred charge of those of us who LOVE THE GREAT SOUTHWEST! (There really is no place like the sacred GREAT SOUTHWEST…It’s memories last a lifetime.)

Daddy bought me a cowboy hat and boots, and a suede fringed jacket—and he had my nickname “Dusty” put on the back of my jacket…this was when we first got to Albuquerque (He was stationed at Sandia Base/Los Alamos.) From then on I became a cowgirl. When the 509th was transferred to Tucson (Davis-Monthan) I fit right in!

I have found throughout my life, that it is Amazing how GOD uses cowboy hats, etc. to do his work! I could go places “dolled up” and deal with jealousy—or I could go places with cowboy hat, jeans, western shirts, turquoise jewelry and boots—and draw people LIKE A MAGNET!!!

Being a cowboy or a cowgirl is a SPECIAL TOOL THAT GOD USES TO DRAW PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO HIM! And—you meet some of the Most Amazing People.

LANCE, YOU have NOW been Officially initiated into THE WORLD OF THE REAL OLD WEST…..YOU ARE A TRUE TEXAN!!! “Ain’t it Wonderful!!!
